Item:264077617990An early silver pair cased pocket watch with a lovely decorative verge movement signed 'L. Recordon, London, No.2406', dating to c1800, in good condition and good working order. The silver cases have a later matching hallmark for London 1874/5, initials IH. The cases are in good condition and the movement is a very good fit (and may well have been made to suit the movement). The diameter of the outer case measures 48mm.The bulls-eye glass crystal has a few minor scuff marks. The convex enamel dial is in excellent condition, no hairlines or chips. The hands are as per the photos. The decorative fusee movement has a verge escapement and is in good condition and good working order, running strong (gains approx. 10 to 15 minutes over 24 hours). It has the mainspring tensioner above the barrel and can be tensioned externally with a very small key (not supplied). The movement is signed 'L. Recordon, London' and numbered '2406'. The movement is key wind and set which work fine, modern key included.
